"We had a wonderful experience in Peru thanks to Elias. He took the time to get to know everyone in our large group (15 people) and paced the trip to suit our abilities and interests. He was professional and personable and ensured everything went smoothly."
"Excellent tour. This was an experience of a lifetime. Our guide Elias was super knowledgeable, Peruvian born, and very friendly. The perfect guide to have for this incredible experience. Scenery was fantastic. Accommodations and food were very good..."
"Above and beyond expectations. My husband and I had the pleasure of having Evert as our guide from Cusco, through The Sacred Valley, and finishing in Machu Picchu. Evert was exceptional and could not recommend him more to anyone traveling to this area of Peru. Evert was so much fun to be around, has a great personality and a great sense of humour. He made sure our entire trip was everything we had hoped it would be and more. He knew places off the beaten path to capture beautiful photos and meet locals."

Day 3
Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo - Moray - Maras)
We will start Day 3 by exploring the beautiful archeological site of Ollantaytambo. At this site, we will explore the unfinished Temple of the Sun. This temple was built for the ancient people to pay tribute and give offerings to the Sun. For the period, this architecture was a fantastic accomplishment of civil engineering. The stones were cut in a way to fit tightly together but still allowed a small amount of shifting that occurred with the stones during weather changes.
Once we finish exploring Ollantaytambo, we will pick up some snacks and board our private bus to Moray. The archeological site here is unique because of its round-shaped Inca terraces, which were used as a farming laboratory back in Incan times.
From Moray, we will head to the great salt mines of Maras, considered the oldest mines in the Sacred Valley, as it’s believed that they were used by civilizations pre-dating the Incas. Maras was the most critical salt mine during colonial times and is still used by local people today. We will explain how salt is gathered, and you will have a chance to purchase some to take home with you.
We’ll wrap up our day exploring these beautiful sights of the Sacred Valley with lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to Cusco.
