For lunch we will stop at a small wine cellar and eat homemade food paired with fine wines by the wine maker himself.

Day 2
Topola, Oplenac Royal Mausoleum & Village Home Stay
On day 2 your private tour continues as we drive in private transportation to the town of Topola in the Šumadija region of Serbia. Here we will tour the Oplenac Royal Mausoleum where 27 members of the Serbian Royal Family are buried. This church is famous for its 725 mosaic compositions which depict scenes from Serbia's rich religious history.
After these divine sights, we will then partake in Serbia's own Šumadija wine, visiting three wineries: the Royal Wine Cellar, established in 1930s by the Serbian king; then the prominent Serbian winery Aleksandrović; and finally, a young family-owned winery, where we will be served lunch paired with these young winemakers' offerings.
Your accommodations tonight will be in a guesthouse— the House of Čolović. You will get to see firsthand what life in a Serbian village is like as you enjoy their warm hospitality.

Day 4
Sargan Eight Train & Višegrad
After a homemade breakfast at our guesthouse, we will head to Mokra gora town where we will take a ride on the famous Sargan Eight narrow track train. After the train trip, we will cross to Bosnia to visit Višegrad with its famous 16th century bridge over the river Drina. Yugoslavian writer Ivo Andrić who wrote the novel "Bridge Over Drina" won the Nobel Prize in 1962. Our day will continue with a boat ride on the Drina River with a local captain and lunch on the banks of the river.
After lunch we’ll return to Mokra gora and to the charming "Timber Town" of Kustendorf. This complex is the creation of our famous film director Emir Kusturica.
Hotel Mećavnik (4 stars) is your accommodation for the night and you have rest of the day to explore this "miracle place" on your own.

Day 5
Studenica & Žiča Monasteries to Belgrade
On Day 5 your private tours continues as your local guide drives you to see two major monasteries. After a drive over the picturesque Golija mountain, we will first reach the monastery Studenica which dates from the 12th century. Studenica is considered for the most beautiful Serbian monastery and appears on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After our tour, we will take a trip through the "Valley of Kings"—the River Ibar—where numerous endowments were built by Serbian medieval rulers.
Here we’ll stop for lunch at a local tavern run by the same family for 200 years, before continuing to the monastery Žiča from the 13th century and view its beautiful frescoes.
Finally we will reach Belgrade in the evening and check-in to the Hotel City Savoy (4 stars) which will be your home for two nights.

Day 6
Belgrade
We will start our day at Belgrade's most popular tourist destination: Belgrade Fortress. The origins of the fortress date back to the founding of Belgrade, and it provides a beautiful natural look out spot. From there we will visit the posh Dedinje neighborhood and you will be introduced to the story of former Yugoslavian president, Tito and visit his tomb, the House of Flowers.
A visit to Belgrade would hardly be complete without a stop at St. Sava Church, the biggest Orthodox temple in the Balkans.
We will dine on local food prepared in a modern fashion at a restaurant in the neighborhood before we cross to the other side of the river to Zemun. In this old part of the city we will stroll along Danube promenade or walk to the Gardoš hill and perhaps drink Rakija in one of the local cafes.
You will have the rest of the day to explore Belgrade on your own, although we will happily provide you with any local recommendations you need.
